Abstract
The present research concentrates on the establishing the connection between principals' personality type and their managing style in the Islamshahr high schools.
Statistical society of this research contains all Islamshahr high school's principals that reach up to 74. For selecting the sample group and also for increasing the exactness of measuring, the method of randomly sampling based on sample volume that contains 62 persons is used. The present research contains 3 questionnaires that they are: Cattell 16 factor personality type questionnaire, conducting style questionnaire that contains 35 questions, established by Bardner and Metzekas (1974) for measuring of relationship – obligation conducting style and conducting style questionnaire that contains 10 questions, established by Hellriegel and Scloeum (1996) for measuring of the necessity conducting style.
The validity of questionnaires was calculated by Cronbach's alpha.
Questionnaires were tested on the sample group by the Pearson correlation and independent T tests and the results go as follow:
1. There is direct connection between personality type and managing style.
2. There is meaningful different between man and woman 'realistic' personality type, on the other hand, concerning on the averages women are more realist than men.
3. There is meaningful different between man and woman "concerning on duty" conducting style, that means women concern on duty more than men.
4. There is meaningful connection between essential conducting style and conservative personality type.
